Sunday - September 16th, 2007 Author: Jim McMullen Sunday's Ride: Ride from Franklin, OH to Lexington, KY and then spend a day riding around the horse farms in the Lexington area. Then head for the middle part of West Virginia, ride north up thru West Virginia and cut back west into Ohio. Then work our way back to Greenfield and Franklin, OH. Total trip miles from Franklin, OH and back was 1207. The Group: Jim (Franklin, OH) on a 2001 Suzuki Volusia, Dave (Greenfield, OH) on a 1999 Yamaha 650 V-Star, Jay & Jamie (Lexington, KY) on two 2006 Harley Street Glides and Jesse Acosta on a Harley. Sunday (pics below) - just a short ride from Franklin, OH to Lexington, KY with stopovers in Rabbit Hash, KY and Madison, IN. Dave, Jay & Jamie rode to Franklin, OH on Saturday for the ride to Lexington. [Riders: Jim, Dave, Jay & Jamie] Monday - rode some great roads around Lexington, KY area. Jesse joined us for the ride around the horse farms and to check out a couple of distilleries. [Riders: Jim, Dave, Jay, Jamie & Jesse] Tuesday - Me and Dave left Lexington and headed for Beattyville, KY and worked our way across KY & WV to Oak Hill, WV (north of Beckley) , where we spent the night. [Riders: Jim & Dave - 320 miles] Wednesday - We found our way over to WV-20 where we followed in up thru WV over to New Martinsburg, WV (on the Ohio River) and spent our last night on the rode. [Riders: Jim & Dave] Thursday - We crossed over into Ohio and followed the river south a short ways and then west thru the winding hills over thru Chillicothe and then into Greenfield.
